Finding Common Ground Homepage

Finding Common Ground was a coalition of some progressive student organizations at Pennsylvania State University’s main campus around 1995-1997. It was started by activists in Eco-Action in the spring of 1995 when many organizations untied to rally against the Contract “with” America (the agenda of the Republicans when they took control of congress that year). The coalition also helped launch the protests against Pepsico and their support of the military dictatorship in Burma.

Finding Common Ground is a democratic, action-oriented network of organizations and individuals that strives to find constructive ways to work together towards racial, sexual, and socio-economic justice and equality as well as preserving and protecting the earth’s environment and resources.
